Local government and congregation build support for residential solar.
Dunwoody, Georgia
Dunwoody Georgia’s renewable energy goals are as bright as the sun. The Dunwoody Sustainability Committee and St. Luke’s Green Team joined forces to bring Chasing Coral to Saint Luke’s Presbyterian Church. A panel discussion accompanied the screening where members of Solarize Dunwoody spoke about the benefits of switching to residential solar as a meaningful way to take action. Solarize Dunwoody is a solar PV bulk-purchasing program that makes it more accessible and affordable for homeowners, businesses, and non-profits to switch to solar by providing wholesale pricing determined by how many parties buy in. The event also helped drive interest and turnout for Solarize Dunwoody’s workshop the following week.
